Follow M W Brown down the skeleton-strewn path. The international bestselling author longs to lure you into her dark, twisted imagination, lock the door and wait for you to scream.
Her love of all things supernatural and terrifying started at an early age. That love exploded when she discovered Steven King, Clive Barker, and Shirley Jackson. She devoured ghost stories, horror films, and dabbled in writing her own. Brown studied mathematics and psychology at university because there wasn’t a course in horror and found numbers and people can be just as terrifying. But it took her decades in finance to follow her true passion and realise her macabre imagination needed an outlet.
Under the Moonlight
Liam, an alpha male in every sense of the word, meets submissive Beccy online and imagines he’s found the perfect woman. After coaxing her from her remote and reclusive life, he realizes she has more than a sackful of secrets.
An ancient curse, a children’s fairy tale, or madness? Anything seems possible under the moonlight.
M W Brown tells us about the inspiration for Under the Moonlight:
“I’ve always been fascinated with the origins of fairy tales and legends. In the book, after writing a short story, Serious Moonlight, where I interwove the tale of Little Red Riding hood with the werewolf legends, I decided to expand on this concept further and bring my own twist on the origins of the werewolf.
“My favourite scenes to write were the chapters where the sexual tension was building between Liam and Beccy and the werewolf transformation.
“It was great fun finding out how my characters would react as the secrets were revealed and obsessions grew because as they came to life in my head and took over the pages, I had no idea what paths they would take them!”
